Over two years ago, Happy Pousse — one of France’s most renowned cannabis flower producers — began a mission to find the best-performing lighting system on the market.
They launched a rigorous benchmarking process, testing several top technologies in real production conditions. Among them was ScarLED’s dynamic fixtures. Cycle after cycle, ScarLED’s lighting strategies proved their worth, helping Happy Pousse significantly increase both yield, quality and reduce energy consumption. Flowers grown under ScarLED's lighting went on to win several national competitions.
These results left no doubt. Happy Pousse chose ScarLED for a complete retrofit of all competing systems and is now running a full ScarLED 680 installation across its site — making it the largest indoor cannabis production facility in France.
In the following interview, Leo Di Santo, Director of Cultivation at Happy Pousse, shares his insights and experience with ScarLED’s dynamic lighting system.
What benefits have you observed since installing the dynamic system?
“The flexibility offered by ScarLED allows us to optimize yields while reducing our energy consumption. It’s a real asset for the competitiveness of our production.”
How are you using the system’s dynamic capabilities today?
“We adjust spectrum and intensity to match each phase of the crop cycle. This helps us fine-tune our cultivation protocols and maximize the potential of each variety.”
How do you see this collaboration evolving?
“We aim to keep pushing the limits of photobiology and, with ScarLED, develop increasingly precise solutions to optimize our cultivation strategies.”
This collaboration is built on a shared vision: Mastering light to unlock the full genetic potential of every plant. Optimizing performance in terms of yield, quality, and energy efficiency. Sharing knowledge through research and innovation.
ScarLED is proud to count Happy Pousse among its ambassadors and to work together in writing a new chapter in France’s cannabis story, one focused on excellence, research, and innovation.
